Your guide to all the "goings on" with Pat and the guys

May 5, 2004
Cinco de Mayo!!!  Is that how you spell that?  Anyway, just thought I'd get on and give a little update about the band.  I decided it made more sense to give the new news at the top of the page rather than the bottom this time.  Yeah, I'm thinkin'!  Hey the CD release party was an absolute BLAST!  I had no idea that many people would show up.  Thanks to all who did.  The new disc is really taking off, so get your copy soon.  Also, be sure and check out the new shirts on the merch table.  We are working on some more designs, so maybe there will be even another one soon!  Be sure and check out the schedule page, and come see us this summer.  We gonna be all over!  Peace!

It won't be long now.  We are putting the finishing touches on the CD and it should be ready by early next week.  In finding out that there is already a CD out there that had the name "Living Room Project", we decided just self title the disc and call it "Patrick Byers and the Been There Band".  It is nine songs and will cost ONLY five bucks!  What a deal!!  It should be available at any of our shows this summer, or contact Pat  via e-mail (patrick_byers_music@hotmail.com) to order one.

Finally!!!  Some of the CDs are done and available.  I spent about 3 hours last night and only got 12 burned.  It's kind of a slow process, but there will be 50 of them in this first pressing, so you won't want to wait to get your copy!  Thanks to Aaron Scamihorn for all his work on getting it done!

Drag!!!  Godfest has been cancelled.  I know there were at least 3 or 4 people out there who were looking forward to checking us out at this festival, but unfortunately it isn't going to happen.  There is a possibility that we will do it next year.  Keep your eyes and ears open!

Our performance at Camp Tecumseh in front of almost 200 people was a blast. Definitely our best sound and performance so far. Even the crowd got out of control at times. What an awesome feeling. Original band member, Aaron Hughes, was a crowd favorite. (Considering this was his place of employment this summer) Pat Byers was one with the crowd. The crowd responded very well with Pat and this was very noticeable to camp counselors and the rest of the band. Certain fans had their eye on Andy, the drummer. They desperately wanted a picture with him all night long. Nate, acoustic guitarist, and Aaron, bass, were also in prime form. - Aaron Makin (Sound Technician)

There is a chance that we may get an opening slot with Jars of Clay and/or 4 Him when the come to Wabash!!!  Isn't that cool?  Either of these would be a nice break for us to get some exposure.  Please pray that God's Will would be done in this!  Thanks so much for your prayers and support!

Hey we got it!!!  We will be playing outside, on the plaza, before the Jars of Clay concert at the Honeywell Center in Wabash.  Be sure to tell all your friends to come check us out, then go in and see Jars (and Aria, a graduate of NF who is opening inside).  Pretty cool, huh?

Howdy everyone!  Just want to let y'all know that I can get flyers to anyone who would like to help us promote the Jars of Clay concert.  It would really be cool if we could get a good, Wabash, home crowd there for that show.  We are working on having some T-shirts ready for that one, so be on the look out for those!  God Bless you all!!

I just got word today that we have been asked to be a part of the 2003 Shekinah event here in Wabash, IN.  That means we get to play with Riley Armstrong (for all you Riley fans out there), and drama team One Time Blind.  Mark your calendars now for November 2nd at 6pm at Bachelor Creek Church in Wabash.  Check out the schedule page to see some of the other shows we are doing!

Hey!  Guess what?  Our new t-shirts are in!!!  They say "Free T-Shirt - tour 2003-2004".  We put that on there, not because we wanted to give away a bunch of shirts, but because we thought it was funny.  We hope you think so too!  Anyway...you can pick one up for the low, low price of just $12.  E-mail me, or better yet, come to one of the shows to get your very own.  Peace out!

It's almost hard to believe!  I get to open for 4-Him on January 14th at the Honeywell Center in Wabash.  It will just be me since they don't want to have to move a bunch of equipment after the opening act.  Isn't that cool!  Make sure you get your tickets soon, as it is looking like a sell-out!

In other news, we are trying to see what we can do to put together a mini-tour this summer, heading to places like Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.  We might get a chance to take the show in the road!  Pretty trippin'!

All of the audio for the new CD is all finished.  We just need to decide on the artwork and all that, then get them printed.  If you liked the last CD, I promise you'll LOVE this one!!!  We are really excited about getting it out to see what folks think.  We are talking about putting together a CD release party.  Won't that be fun!  Stay tuned for all the info!

April 14, 2004

The new discs are on their way back to Indiana as we speak.  We are all so excited about getting it out to people.  We hope y'all like it.  We are also getting into a very busy period of Spring/Summer that will see us playing lots of times.  We have been booked at the Kokomo 1st Naz Youth building 4 times between now and August, and are hoping to start a monthly gig at the brand new Greentown Fire Shaq in downtown Greentown.  Don't forget, also, the CD release party on May the 2nd.  It should be a hoot!  Hope lots of you can come check out some of the new stuff.  See you soon!!!
